VISION

The vision for FISIP UNY, in order to address the challenges of education in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and society 5.0, serves as a benchmark and direction for the faculty’s development in carrying out its role in higher education. It is:

“To become a leading, creative, and innovative faculty of education and social sciences, founded on devotion, independence, and intellectualism by the year 2025.”

MISSION

• To provide academic and professional education to produce educators in the social sciences and social scientists who possess knowledge, skills, and attitudes in line with the fundamental values of Pancasila.

• To conduct research and development that produces new discoveries in the field of education and social sciences.

• To carry out community service activities oriented toward the results of studies and research in education and social sciences for the empowerment and welfare of the community.

• To organize and build partnerships with the government, community, academia, industry, and media at local, regional, and international levels to develop education and social sciences and to increase the competitiveness of graduates.

• To implement institutional governance at the faculty level, excellent service, and quality assurance that is transparent and accountable.

OBJECTIVES

• To realize good education and governance, both in academic and professional fields, that demands the self-development of lecturers and encourages students to possess fundamental individual values in acquiring knowledge, skills, and attitudes in accordance with the fundamental values of Pancasila and the noble values of the nation's culture.

• To realize the results of character-based research and development in Education and Social Sciences that support regional and national development and contribute to solving global problems.

• To conduct community service and empowerment activities oriented toward the results of studies and research in Education and Social Sciences, based on the fundamental values of Pancasila, to encourage the development of human, social, and natural potential for the realization of community welfare.

• To establish networks and cooperation involving the community, academia, industry, and media at local, regional, and international levels.

• To realize good, clean, and transparent faculty governance and accountable quality assurance.
